At the 2018 All-Star Weekend, Jordan Brand teamed up with Snapchat, Darkstore, Shopify and R/GA to bring a never seen before experience. At a secret Jordan Brand Travis Scott show for 5,000 people called 23 Black, Jordan celebrated the 30th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s “free throw line dunk” in epic proportions. A 3-D mapped model of Michael’s Iconic dunk was activated in Snapchat as an A/R lens. But this was beyond just a lens, it triggered in Snapchat the ability to buy the Air Jordan III – Tinker early for the community that was at the event, demonstrating social commerce in a way that hadn’t been seen before. Shoes were delivered to the consumer the same night, within 2 hours of purchase for immediate stunting on social channels.
